Generic Nebivolol Tablets

Bystolic belongs to beta-adrenergic blocking agent having active drug Nebivolol, the drug affects the blood flow in the blood vessels. Nebivolol is indicated for the treatment of hypertension which helps in lowering the blood pressure. This Lowering blood pressure promotes the reduction the chances of fatal cardio vascular. Bystolic is available in oral tablet formulation Tablets: 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg.

Drug indication of Bystolic:

Nebivolol is used in high blood pressure. The drug helps by lowering blood pressure and turns you less prone to a stroke or heart attack. Bystolic is used extensively for blood pressure therapy.

Mechanism of action of Bystolic Tablets

The drug helps in following way the drug may decrease heart rate. The drug brings diminution of tonic sympathetic outflow to the periphery from cerebral vasomotor centers that decreased myocardial contractility and led to suppression of renin activity and vasodilation. Drug has now decreased peripheral vascular resistance thus Beta blockers bring antihypertensive effects by reducing myocardial contractility and cardiac output. Central inhibition of sympathetic nervous system outflow, inhibition of the renin–angiotensin system contributes to the BP-lowering effects of this drug class.

Drug contraindication of Nebivolol:

If patient is sensitive to the content of the drug one should not take the drug. The drug is not intended for children below 18 year of age. Patient suffering from severe bradycardia, Heart block of first degree, cardiogenic shock, and Sick sinus should not take the medication. Patients with severe hepatic impairment should not take Bystolic or generic Nebivolol tablet.

Drug interactions of Generic Nebivolol:

• CYP2D6 enzyme inhibitors may increase Nebivolol levels.
• Reserpine or Clonidine may produce excessive reduction of sympathetic activity so one should use cautiously.
• Digitalis glycosides and β-blockers bring slow atrioventricular conduction and decrease heart rate. Concomitant use of drug along Nebivolol can increase the risk of bradycardia.
• Verapamil- or Diltiazem-type calcium channel blockers can cause sudden fall in heart rate, thus decrease in blood pressure and cardiac contractility.

Storage conditions of Nebivolol:

Dispense in a tight, light-resistant container. Keep the drug in child-resistant closure keep the drug at room temperature.

Mode of administration of Bystolic tablet:

Bystolic is available in variant dose strengths here Bystolic is served in 10mg. one should take the medicine orally by swallowing the tablet along the plain water.
One should take the tablet every day at the same time this will prevent the missing of dose as well as maintain the consistency of drug in the blood. Take the drug without any concern of meal habit you can take it over food or empty stomach.

If you missed the dose take the drug as soon you make it, until the timing is not close to next dose. Do not take more than one dose at a time.

Side effects of the drug: Headache, fatigue, nausea and Dizzy like feeling. Some time patient may experience water retention which may lead to swelling of joints and legs.

Precaution to take care while administering Bystolic 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg:

Acute exacerbation of coronary artery disease upon cessation of therapy so does not discontinue medication abruptly. One should monitor glucose levels as β-blockers may mask symptoms of hypoglycemia.
