Tazret gel is very effective in the treatment of plaque psoriasis, acne and sun damaged skin (photo damage). It helps to lessen skin inflammation and skin changes allied with acne and psoriasis. Tazret gel encloses an active ingredient known as Tazarotene.

How does Tazret gel work?

Tazarotene belongs to the class of medicines called topical retinoids, a medication similar to vitamin A. it shows its therapeutic effect by reducing the creation of skin cells causing scaly and inflamed areas as well as exfoliating the skin to recover the emergence and consistency of the skin.

What is the method of application of Tazret gel?

Tazret gel is a topical preparation of Tazarotene (0.05% w/w). First, wash your skin with a mild cleanser and fully drying the affected area. Take a small amount of gel and apply a thin film over the affected part of the skin, where acne lesions appear. Tazret gel should be applied once a day in the evening before going to bed.

Under what conditions the use of Tazret gel is contraindicated:

  • Tazret gel cannot be used in case of pregnancy and lactating condition.
  • Users who are hypersensitive to Tazret gel or its other components should not apply this medicine.
  • Tazret gel should not applied on the eczematous and sun burnt conditions.

  • Never try to use Tazret gel on the sunburn, windburn, chapped, irritated or dry skin.

  • Do not apply this medicine moist, hair-covered areas such as armpits, groin and never cover the treated areas with dressings or bandages.

There are some side effects faced by a user while using Tazret gel such as burning, dry skin, irritation, itching, peeling, redness, scaling, skin inflammation, skin pain, and stinging sensation in the skin.

What are the drugs that affect the efficacy of Tazret gel?

Certain other drugs can interact with Tazret gel and augment the risk of serious problems: Levofloxacin, Glipizide, Sulfamethoxazole, Doxycycline, Hydrochlorothiazide, Hydrochlorothiazide and Vitamin A.
